Accessibility Statement
GB Contractors is committed to making goldenbaycontractor.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.
Our commitment
We design and build this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the W3C. This includes making sure content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and speech-recognition software.
What we do
- Semantic HTML5 landmarks (
<main>,<header>,<nav>,<footer>) on every page - A "Skip to main content" link as the first focusable element
- Descriptive
alttext on every meaningful image; emptyalt=""on decorative images - Every form input has a visible, associated
<label> - Keyboard-navigable interfaces with a visible focus outline on every interactive element
- Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text
- Structured content (headings, lists, tables) that assistive technologies can parse
Known limitations
We test with axe DevTools, Lighthouse, and manual keyboard-only navigation before every release. If you find something that doesn't work for you, please tell us. We will make a good-faith effort to fix it quickly.
